About Us
The Canadian Association of Extracellular Vesicles (CAEV) is a national network dedicated to advancing extracellular vesicle (EV) research across Canada. CAEV brings together scientists, clinicians, and innovators working to understand and harness the biological potential of EVs.
Our mission is to connect researchers, share the latest discoveries, and foster collaboration that accelerates innovation in diagnostics, therapeutics, and regenerative medicine.

Our Story
The CAEV is following a shared vision to strengthen communication and collaboration in the rapidly expanding field of extracellular vesicle biology. While many labs across the country were making significant breakthroughs, the need for a cohesive platform to connect efforts and establish standards became clear.
CAEV grew from this initiative — a community built to unite expertise across disciplines, promote reproducible research, and amplify Canada’s contributions to the global EV community.
Today, CAEV supports interdisciplinary partnerships, training programs, and events that encourage knowledge exchange and foster scientific excellence.
